A stout field of thirty-six entries took to the speed plant, as Justin battled the handle on his #77 B&A Lumber/Midwest Sheet Metal/Club 29/Hatfield Racing Engine Super Late Model throughout the course of the night. A fourth place finish in his heat race locked him into the $3,000-to-win, main event. Asplin went on to race around mid-pack for much of the event before ultimately crossing the finish line in the eighteenth position.

Justin finished third in the MARS Championship standings. Full results from the events as well as complete series' standings are available at www.MARSRacingSeries.com.

1September 20th, 2014 - Justin Asplin made the trip to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) for a tripleheader at the 3/8 mile oval.

Forty-two UMP Super Late Models registered for the opening round on Thursday night, which boosted a $2,000 winner's check. Justin qualified third in his respective group before racing to second place finish in his heat race. As a result, he started seventh in the main event. During the course of the main event, Asplin battled amongst the top ten early before settling to an eleventh place finish in the final rundown.

It was back to business on Friday evening as a stout field of fifty UMP Super Late Models were on hand for the $2,000-to-win program. Asplin posted the quickest lap in his group during time trails to lock into the pole position for his heat race. Justin was battled at the front of his heat race until he jumped the cushion and made hard contact with the outside wall. The team made repairs in time to start the tail of a b-main. Asplin advanced to a seventh place finish in the b-main but unfortunately, did not reach a transfer position as his night came to an early end.

Justin's busy weekend drew to a close on Saturday with the $2,000-to-win finale, which saw thirty-one entries registered for competition. Asplin timed in third in his group during qualifications, but contact from another competitor sent him spinning in turn three during his heat race. Justin was charged with the caution and sent to the tailed of the field. He recovered to a fifth place finish, which forced him to run a b-main. Asplin won the b-main from his outside-front-row starting spot to lock into the seventeenth starting position on the feature grid. He went on to record an eleventh place finish at the checkered flag.
