April 17th, 2016 - Powering the B&A Pallet Division #77A Super Late Model, Justin Asplin headed to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Friday night for the Midwest Sanction Showdown featuring both the MARS DIRTcar Series and the Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series. Competing in a field of twenty-eight cars, Asplin secured his spot into the main event with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Battling for a $5,000 payday, Justin notched a 10th place finish in the 35-lap affair.

Saturday night brought Asplin to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the $10,555-to-win Slocum 50. Sending the top four out of the heats and into the A-Main, Justin edged his way into the main event with a 4th place spot. Wrapping up the action packed weekend, Justin stopped at State Fair Speedway (Sedalia, Missouri) on Sunday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win show. With twenty-seven cars signed in for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned event, Asplin earned the pole position starting spot for the feature after placing 2nd in his heat behind Jason Papich. With $5,000 on the line, Justin Asplin fell back to a 19th place finish.
