May 29th, 2016 - Running with the MARS DIRTcar Series, Justin Asplin headed to Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri) on Sunday night for the Tony Roper Memorial. Capturing a heat race win in a field of twenty-three cars, Asplin earned a 4th place starting spot for the feature. Slipping up two spots, Justin retired a 6th place finish. (Ron Mitchell Photo)

- Justin Asplin followed the MARS DIRTcar Series on Saturday night to Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri) for the $2,500-to-win event. In a field of twenty-four cars, Asplin recorded a runner-up finish behind Brandon McCormick. Falling one spot short of a top five finish, Justin notched a 6th place finish.

On Friday night Justin Asplin made the trip to Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) for the MARS DIRTcar Series two-day event. Drawing a field of nineteen Super Late Models, Justin scored a heat race victory earning him a spot into the feature. Battling for a $2,000 payday, Asplin notched a runner-up finish behind Ryan Gustin with Tony Jackson Jr., Payton Looney, and Randy Timms rounding out the top five.

Returning on Saturday night, twenty-one cars signed in for the second night of action at Longdale Speedway. After placing 6th in his heat race, Asplin worked his way up to a 7th place finish in the $3,000-to-win feature.

May 7th, 2016
- Returning with the MARS DIRTcar Series, Justin Asplin traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday night for the Douglas Dodge 40 event co-sanctioned by the MARS Series and the Sunoco American Late Model Series. In a stacked field of forty-four cars, Justin logged an 8th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Failing to place 2nd or better, Asplin was granted a provisional into the $5,000-to-win show. With 40-laps to make some moves, Justin Asplin recorded a 17th place finish.

Following the MARS and Sunoco American Late Model Series', Asplin headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) on Saturday for the FALS Frenzy. With forty-three cars logged in, Justin transferred into the B-Main again for another shot at the feature after placing 11th in his heat. Battling for a transfer spot into the 40-lap show, Asplin would have to rely on a use of a provisional with a 13th place outing in the consolation event.
